It extrapolated to these estimates using responses from 1,220 employed adults aged 18-up from Jan. 16-21 for The Workforce Institute at UKG.

An estimated 22.6 million employed Americans plan to miss work the day after Super Bowl LIX — up from 16.1 million last year. This breaks the previous record of 18.8 million U.S. employees who said they’d be out in 2023 — which, coincidentally, was the last time the Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles faced off in the big game.
