Product features and functionality: What Karima is most excited about
The Utilities Feature – I frequently use this feature in order to see:
- Group pay statements
- Timesheets
- Audit trails
This feature really is a one-stop shop. When I have to pull multiple pay statements, this is the place to go. Eventually, I would love to see an enhancement that enables you to email pay statements to external contacts.* I send these statements to our short-term and long-term disability insurance company as well as to our workers’ comp insurance company, so the ability to email pay statements to external contacts would be amazing.

Resources: What Karima can’t live without
Email Alerts – I love the POD email alerts that I receive daily. They provide great information as well as snippets of what’s coming and happening in our company POD. We have now been moved to POD6, and the alerts are so helpful. It allows me the opportunity to prepare our staff for upcoming updates.
System Administrator Pop-Up Alerts – I like that you receive these alerts as soon as you log in to the system. These alerts give quick insights into what is happening, and you have the option to dig further (by going to the Community or signing up for a town hall, etc.) if you’d like.
UKG Ready Mobile App – The app is one of my favorites — everything you need in the palm of your hand everywhere you go.
Tips and tricks: Advice from Karima
Explore – Don’t be afraid to research topics you may need a little more insight on. Make sure to actively utilize:
- UKG Community
- Training videos
- The Customer Success team
Also, make sure to set up your favorites. This way you can have access to your most-used websites without having to leave UKG.
Claim to fame
I am adventurous and love to explore the outdoors. Hiking and traveling are my passions. I try to do an adventurous excursion each year around my birthday. I’ve had the fun of skydiving, hiking in the White Mountains, and whale watching, to name a few. Riding in a hot air balloon is on my to-do list in 2021. Can’t wait!
