UKG Ideas Process Enhancements Improve the Customer Experience

A person is sitting in front of a laptop computer. They are holding an illuminated lightbulb that symbolizes ideas and connection.

When developing our solution roadmaps, one of the most valuable resources our product teams utilize is feedback from customers like you. After all, who better to advise us than the people using our products every day? Ideas and suggestions shared in the UKG Ideas Portal within our UKG Community™ guide the way as we work to develop enhancements that will help make your processes run more efficiently. For example, did you know 1,323 customer ideas contributed to enhancements we delivered across all products in fiscal 2023? The ideas you’ve shared with us over the years are instrumental to our success, and we truly appreciate the partnership you provide by sharing them.

To deliver even more of the top ideas you’ve asked for, we’re making some changes to help streamline our ideas management process. We want to ensure ideas with the most engagement and votes are at the top of our priority list, and we recognize we need a better way to communicate feedback regarding ideas in the queue and improve the feedback loop between our teams and submitters.

Part of these changes will also include a clean-up effort to organize and prioritize the thousands of ideas currently in the portal. To do that, we need to close and archive the ideas with the lowest votes that have not had any activity or engagement since December 31, 2020. There are many ideas that meet this criteria, and we expect to complete this process by the end of January. By closing and archiving these ideas, our teams will have more time to focus on current ideas while also adding the most value, and will be committing to improving responsiveness, and increasing transparency for idea progression timelines.

The new approach for managing ideas will allow our teams to actively engage more frequently with the current ideas submitted, meaning you can expect a faster response time for ideas currently in the queue and more direct feedback on whether or not an idea is moving forward. Additionally, there will be clear guidelines and expectations for idea journeys with new best practices that will be implemented across all product teams. You can find more information about the new idea journey and what the feedback process will look like in our UKG Ideas Portal article.

We hope you’ll continue to utilize the UKG Ideas Portal to share your feedback and suggestions with us. Don’t forget to search to see if an idea already exists. If so, voting for it or leaving a comment are the most effective ways to assist us in streamlining feedback. If you want to submit an idea that doesn’t already exist, please do so others can vote and comment on it.

We look forward to continuing our efforts to make the hard stuff simple and design a human-centered suite that meets every employee where they are, with your help along the way!
