CNBC | Nonfarm payrolls increased by 245,000 in December while the unemployment rate was 6.7%, the Labor Department reported Friday. Economists surveyed by Dow Jones had been looking for 440,000 and the jobless rate to decrease to 6.7% from 6.9% in November. CNBC’s Steve Liesman breaks down the numbers.
