Ash (Instagram, Twitter), 25, born in Queensland, Australia, has had two #1 seasons (2019 and 2020) in her 10-year professional career, including 11 Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) singles titles – being the first Australian to win the women’s singles at Roland Garros since 1973 and the first Australian to achieve the #1 Women’s ranking since 1976.
Ash took a break from tennis in 2014 and played professional cricket with the Women’s Big Bash League in Australia, demonstrating her skill level across multiple sports. Ash, who is of Indigenous heritage on her father Robert’s side, is Tennis Australia’s National Indigenous Ambassador and works passionately to get Indigenous kids playing sport and provide them with education opportunities.
