UKG Ready Reports to Support Your Seasonal Workforce
For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, the summer season is almost upon us. For some, that might mean a lower workload and exciting vacations. For the HR department, it normally means getting your seasonal workforce onboard and up to speed. In this edition of the UKG Ready® Report Rundown, we're focusing on three reports you can use to help manage your seasonal hires.
Here's the Rundown:
Seasonal hiring is in full swing across North America, and we understand how hectic it can be for HR departments. As you ramp up your seasonal workforce and navigate summer PTO requests, we’ve got you covered. Below are three reports to use throughout your seasonal hiring process to ensure you get applicants hired and up and running in no time:
- Time to Hire report
- Onboarding Profile report
- Checklists report
Let's dive in!
Time to Hire Report
Ever wonder just how long it takes to hire certain positions? When planning your seasonal recruitment strategy, it's essential that you know what positions may take longer to fill than others so you can start recruiting earlier. The Time to Hire Report is an excellent resource for gaining that insight. This report gives you a quick overview of the different locations, job titles, and Job Requisition EINs of roles, as well as when the job requisition was created, the start date of the hired employee, and how many days it took to hire.
Like all responsive reports, the Time to Hire report view can be customized based on your needs. Add additional columns or see the data as a report and charts. Want to leverage this report for your seasonal hiring? Access this Report by navigating Team > Recruitment > Reports > Time to Hire.
Onboarding Profile Report
Once seasonal employees are hired, you'll want to make sure they have all the proper onboarding tools and resources. Seasonal jobs at your organization might not be eligible for certain benefits or PTO policies during their shorter tenure at your organization. Ensuring their Onboarding Profile is up to date and has the correct information is essential to their success.
The Onboarding Profile report displays all current onboarding profiles. Here, you'll see whether the Onboarding Profile was tied to a Preboarding Portal when it was created and if it is active. You can also see which accounts are assigned and associated with a profile by clicking on the people icon to the left of the Onboarding Profile name. You won't see this option if no one is assigned to the Onboarding Profile.
This report is also where you can update the Onboarding Profile configuration and add new Onboarding Profiles. You can access this report by navigating to Settings > Profiles/Policies > Onboarding.
Checklists Report
You've hired your seasonal workforce and ensured they're in the proper onboarding profile. Their first day is almost here, so what comes next? Checklists, Checklists, and maybe even more Checklists! Chances are, even if it's different from your typical new hire checklist, your seasonal workforce will need to complete at least one checklist in your solution during their onboarding process.
The Checklists report gives you a bird's eye view of:
- Checklists employees are currently assigned to
- Percentage of the checklist completed
- Category the checklist falls in
If you want to customize this report to show more columns, like how many documents have been attached to the checklist or how many incomplete items remain on the employee's checklist, you can do so. Easily edit checklists and add new checklists from here as well. You can access this report by navigating to Team > HR > Checklists > Checklists.
Disclaimer: There is a chance that certain security permissions must be turned on to access reports covered in our Report Rundown and organizations must have certain modules to be able to view.
