A Smarter Way to Payroll: Explore Your New Landing Page
We know that change can take some getting used to. Our redesigned Process Payroll landing page was carefully created with simplicity in mind. This new look isn’t about changing how you work; it’s about making it easier for your admins and managers. You’ll still find all the tools you need and know, but now with a cleaner, more intuitive design that helps you get where you need to go faster.
A new centralized view
Does taking time off seem impossible in the payroll world? Maybe training a new admin takes too long and is too complicated, so vacations are out of the question. With this new landing page, onboarding new payroll admins becomes easier with a centralized view and step-by-step guidance throughout the process. Now you don’t have to worry about being the only person who can run payroll, because now it’s simpler to share that knowledge with easy access to all your most frequently used tools, which are now just a click away on your landing page. Let’s break it down.
Upcoming payrolls and actions
The top section of the page displays upcoming payrolls over the next six days. If you don’t see any payroll cards at the top, it means you've already started processing your upcoming regular payrolls, or there are none scheduled in that period. In that case, you might see a Pickup where you left off section with a card for each payroll in progress, including a Continue button and other actions.
Various actions are available in the payroll cards:
- Run – When selected, you are directed to the Review pay information page where you can view supporting reports (pre-processing, processing, review your data) import / add pay statements, and edit payroll data.
- Edit Settings – Select to edit the payroll's settings.
- Payroll Quick Links – When selected, various links to reports and pages display such as General Ledger (Summary), Payroll Prep Process, Payroll Comparison, and View Pay Statements.
- Delete – Select to remove the payroll.
Other payroll types
We know you don’t just run payroll; there’s more to it, such as off-cycle payroll, reconciliation, and quarter corrections. Say goodbye to searching through menus to find these, because near the bottom of the page is a section that displays these payroll types.
These types of payroll include the following:
- Off-cycle (Supplemental payroll) – process payroll outside of your regular payroll schedule
- Correction – Adjust a processed pay check to correct a payment to your employee
- Reconciliation – Review and compare payroll data to ensure accuracy with tax withholdings
- Reconciliation (Historical) – Review and compare payroll data to ensure accuracy with tax withholdings
- Year End Correction – Adjust payroll records at the end of the year to ensure accuracy
- Void – Cancel a processed payroll to fix errors or reverse payments
- Regular – Create a payroll attached to a pay period for normal processing
- Historical – Load historical payrolls that were processed in another system
- Historical Void – Void historical payrolls to match voids in another system
- Parallel – Do end-to-end testing of time and payroll
Finalized Payroll
Finalized payrolls appear in the Recently Finalized section at the bottom of the page, and you can submit them by clicking the three-dot ellipsis icon in the Actions column.
