The American Payroll Association (APA) has preapproved 15 courses for continuing education units (CEU) or recertification credit hours (RCH). So, what does that mean for you? Well, every time you take one of the preapproved virtual trainings with us through My Learning, you’re earning credits toward renewing your professional certification with the APA.

Below is a list of our APA-preapproved training courses:

TLM System Administration
This instructor-led course will cover the daily tasks a Time and Labor module (TLM) system administrator will perform after going live. This session will focus on administrator topics. (Employee and manager usage are covered in the Preparing for TLM Staff Training course.)

Preparing for TLM Staff Training
This instructor-led course covers how employees and managers will use the Workforce Ready TLM. Topics covered include logging in and out, entering time, requesting time off, and approving time. 

Payroll Administration: Payroll Processing
This instructor-led course covers the steps involved in processing payroll and includes opportunities to practice common tasks in a training environment. 

Payroll Administration: Company Maintenance
This instructor-led course covers how to maintain common company maintenance payroll functionality. Additional opportunities to practice common tasks are provided.

Payroll Administration: Employee Maintenance
This online, instructor-led course covers how to maintain common employee maintenance payroll functionality. Additional opportunities to practice common tasks are provided.

HR Standard Features
This instructor-led course is an overview of the features in the Workforce Ready HR module. This course will cover additional features that can be used to enhance the HR experience.

Onboarding
This instructor-led course explores the five Workforce Ready HR features that make up onboarding. In this course, you will be exposed to each feature and learn how the features can be used to streamline your onboarding process and make it more efficient. 

Benefits Administration
This instructor-led course will cover the components that make up the benefits feature. Learners will be exposed to the steps and tasks required to create and manage their benefits and open enrollment process.

Recruiting – Talent Acquisition
This instructor-led course will explore key configuration components, the job requisition process, and applicant management procedures. The Talent Acquisition module includes job requisitions, applicant management, and the applicant portal. 

Performance Management
This instructor-led class covers the performance management components of performance review and performance development. This includes how to create, assign, and complete performance reviews for employees, and how to use the performance development tools to assign and manage company and personal goals.

Scheduler Administration
This instructor-led course is designed to teach company administrator users of the Advanced Scheduler module how to maintain and use the core scheduling features of the module. This course covers how to maintain company settings such as skills and schedule settings, how to maintain employee settings such as assigning skills and scheduled cost centers, and how to create and post schedules. The course will also introduce users to some of the available schedule reports.

Foundations of Reporting
This instructor-led course provides introductory knowledge of utilizing essential reporting functionality and working with common reports. The course covers essential reporting functionality that administrators should master to successfully use the system. The course provides both conceptual and hands-on content about routine reporting tasks including editing, sharing, and exporting reports.

Reporting Charts
This instructor-led course provides introductory knowledge of utilizing essential reporting functionality and working with common reports. The course covers essential reporting functionality that administrators should master to successfully use the system. The course provides both conceptual and hands-on content about routine reporting tasks including editing, sharing, and exporting reports.

Basics Workflows
This instructor-led course combines lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises in a training database where you will practice key tasks and best practices related to using the workflow functionality. Workflows let you automate your business processes, such as time-off requests and open enrollment events, so you can control approvals and communications throughout the process. You may need to modify an existing workflow or create a new one to meet your organization’s needs.

Groups, Profiles, and Security
This instructor-led course focuses on configuring and troubleshooting groups, permissions, and security profiles. Content includes constructing and editing company groups, adjusting manager levels, managing delegations, and tweaking different options for security profiles.
