Brad Nycz, UKG Ready® executive relationship director and former customer, is back at it again, just in time for the holiday season. He’s chosen to highlight eight exciting enhancements in our upcoming December release. So nestle by the fire and prepare to deck the halls with UKG Ready this month.
Suite Experience
Checklist Item Due Dates – A couple of months ago, Noelle voted for an idea in the UKG® Kronos Community about tying checklist item due dates to either a birthdate or a review date. As she is perusing the release notes, she sees this enhancement is finally coming in the December release, and she is ecstatic! She’s especially excited to be able to tie a checklist item to a birthdate. Her organization allows employees to sign up to be company drivers to earn some more cash once they turn 25. Now she can set up a checklist item to ask employees if they would be interested in being a driver once they hit their 25th birthday.

Extending Forms Public APIs – Carol’s organization is doing an audit of all their employee records, and it’s her job to gather employees’ I-9 forms. Luckily for Carol, she can use the public application programming interface (API) to retrieve all her employees’ I-9 forms with ease. So, she contacts her IT team to help her pull those forms through an API, and she’s all set! Her organization is gathering all the information needed in a document management system, and she is excited to learn that once she retrieves the forms from the API, she can quickly transmit them to the management system as well.

Time Off Team View Updates – Imani loved the Time Off Team View enhancement in the previous release, and she was grateful the functionality came out before the holiday season hustle and bustle. It gave her great visibility of who had requested time off, how many people would be out, and if there would be enough coverage. However, Imani wished she could approve or reject time-off requests directly from the Time Off Team View page — and now she can! She sees that four employees have requested time off next week, and luckily they have enough coverage for her to accept all four pending time-off requests.

Display Pending Time Off – Nia is the scheduling manager at her organization, and her co-worker, Imani, told her about the Time Off Team View enhancement from the previous release. Nia has been waiting for something like that to come along for the Scheduler module, and she is happy to see that it’s finally happening in this release! Schedule views have been updated to include pending, not just approved, time-off requests. This enhancement is going to be a major time saver for Nia and will allow her to avoid conflicts before the schedule even goes out.

Partial Open Shift Requests – Another great Scheduler enhancement Nia is looking forward to is the ability to post partial open shifts. Since the previous release, her employees are able to request coverage for parts of their shifts rather than just the full shift. Nia can now approve their partial requests and repost shifts if necessary. Being able to post partial open shifts gives more employees the chance to pick up the open shifts. The best part? If someone picks up the first half of the shift and there’s enough coverage, Nia can also choose to close the second half of the shift.

Total Compensation Statement – For months, Judah and other customers have been asking for the Benefits Statement to be revamped. Instead of using the current Benefits Statement view with limited functionality, Judah would export the data from UKG Ready and create his own statement. After looking over the release highlights, he sees a holiday miracle — his wish for a new total compensation statement is granted in the December release. The document will now really represent the total compensation package with updated branding, a much more appealing look and feel, and new data points.

Benefit Enrollment Summary – Jesse works in HR with Judah at their organization, and he’s been quite busy this open enrollment season. He’s excited that he is able to use the Benefit Enrollment Summary report to see what employee has enrolled in which benefits. He can select to see multiple employees at the same time on the report and use the report to validate the file with their benefit vendor.

Incident PDF Features – Eve absolutely cannot wait for the updates to Incident PDF features to come out. She’s loved every enhancement of Incidents this year — and this feature is no exception. The Incident PDFs have been ordered in a more logical way, making Eve’s job easier when she’s handling an incident. This enhancement is also on brand for legal documentation and will include all incident information so there are no gaps in the story.
