Employee expectations are a dynamic set of monetary and non-monetary value currencies that employees seek in exchange for their employment. Research conducted by UKG's Human Insights Group has identified 12 specific employee expectation categories that can be found here. When an employee's expectations are not met by an employer, it can erode trust between employer and employee and can limit the discretionary effort an employee is willing to apply at work.
