The complex world of payroll continues to evolve. Over the past year, earned wage access (EWA) programs have moved from the early adoption phase to a more common business practice that’s part of the benefits package in many industries.

With the use of EWA growing, the American Payroll Association (APA) recently set out to thoroughly understand EWA technology and its potential impacts on payroll management.
