Burnout across professions is at an all-time high. According to a recent work and well-being survey, "79% of employees had experienced work-related stress in the month before the survey." And a study by my organization shared that poor work-life balance and burnout were top reasons people left their jobs. 

There’s a reason why your company gives you vacation time. It makes you more productive, lowers stress and improves mental health. It also reduces the risk of heart and other diseases, and employees who return from vacation report longer-term contentment with their jobs and overall tasks. Yet in 2018, workers in the U.S. let 768 million vacation days go unused. That’s a lot of vacation days!
