UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group), a leading global provider of HCM, payroll, HR service delivery, and workforce management solutions, has been recognized by Great Place to Work as the No. 12 Best Workplace in Canada 2021 among the 50 best large and multinational workplaces.
“Being named a Best Workplace in Canada is just a bit sweeter this year, having celebrated our one-year anniversary as a combined company under UKG, and reflecting on the unprecedented challenges all organizations faced as a result of the global pandemic,” said Aron Ain, chairman and CEO of UKG. “We’ve worked tirelessly, in partnership with all employees around the globe, to build upon the great cultures of the past and to solidify a best-in-class culture for UKG, rooted in its passion for people and the desire to innovate. Today, we celebrate this honor with our Canadian employees and continue to look to the future.”
Celebrating this achievement just one year after its merger, UKG and its employees are closely connected to a globally aligned framework of carefully selected values and behaviors that shape every component of its evolving culture – from benefits to performance to the tagline: Our purpose is people.
During a tumultuous year for all organizations, UKG kept true to its values by establishing an Employee Relief Fund at the onset of the pandemic to support employees whose immediate family members have been adversely impacted by COVID-19 and other unforeseen disasters. Moreover, the company’s recently expanded benefits package for all U.S. and Canadian employees represents a $35 million increase in spending for 2021, and includes 100%-company-paid healthcare premiums and a 45% dollar-for-dollar match on all employee 401(k)/RRSP contributions, with no annual cap, up to federal limits.
The 2021 Best Workplaces™ in Canada list is compiled by the Great Place to Work® Institute. The competition process to be ranked on this list is employee driven, based on two criteria: two-thirds of the total score comes from confidential employee survey results and the remaining one-third from an in-depth review of the organization’s culture. This offers a rigorous representation of the organization from an employee perspective, and an overall portrait of the workplace culture. Together, they provide crucial data relative to five trust-building dimensions: credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie.
According to Great Place to Work, this year’s list captured the experience and sentiment of over 82,000 employees, rolling out to impact over 300,000 Canadian employees.
