UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group), a leading global provider of human capital management (HCM), payroll, HR service delivery, and workforce management solutions, announced today that Hugo Sarrazin has joined the organization as Chief Product Officer. Sarrazin will be responsible for the overall UKG product direction, strategy, and future roadmap, including user experience, engineering, and cloud operations.
“Those who follow the industry knew that the creation of UKG would completely disrupt the HCM market — and the company has only scratched the surface on its potential,” said Sarrazin. “This is a once-in-a-career opportunity to create a unified product vision that will have a profound impact on tens of thousands of organizations and millions upon millions of their people around the world.”
Sarrazin will guide the development of UKG solutions that continuously advance the traditional definition of HCM technology through a unique combination of operational and people insights. As the only HCM vendor ranked as a leader by all major industry analysts and peer review sites, UKG products help organizations of all sizes and across all industries develop resiliency and adaptability while positively impacting the lives of employees both inside and outside the workplace through purposeful HR, pay, and workforce management technology.
“UKG’s devotion to culture, to doing the right thing, and to its customers — not to mention the prospect of inheriting world-leading products that organizations have loved for decades — is why I’m here,” continued Sarrazin. “I’ve worked extensively with organizations on their HCM strategies throughout my career and I’m passionate about the value they bring. Through UKG technology, we can solve some of today’s biggest problems better and faster while helping people around the world love the work that they do.”
Previously, Sarrazin managed McKinsey & Company’s Business Technology Practice in Silicon Valley, advising CIOs, CTOs, and business leaders on product development, cloud solutions and SaaS migrations, data science, and strategies to maximize technology investments for accelerated change, growth, and transformation. Managing the company’s tech talent team consisting of thousands of employees across eight different tech guilds, Sarrazin also cofounded and led both McKinsey Digital Labs and McKinsey Design and served as senior partner and member of the Global Executive Committee.
“There’s absolutely no better fit to help us operationalize our ambitious product vision, with Hugo’s breadth of experience not just in technology but also in helping organizations build and extend their talent and processes to support their strategies,” said Chris Todd, president at UKG. “As a trusted leader, Hugo knows the value of tapping into the true potential of people, which, in turn, leads to building better products and delivering better services, because he wakes up every day with a servant leader mentality. UKG is extremely fortunate to have a passionate people leader join our team, and it is our customers who will be the ultimate beneficiaries.”
