UKG, a leading provider of HR, payroll, and workforce management solutions, today announced that Beth Conway will join the company as Chief People Officer (CPO) on March 24, reporting to UKG CEO Jennifer Morgan.
Conway will play a significant role in the company’s growth and global expansion efforts by driving operational excellence across human resources (HR) — including leading talent acquisition, total rewards, people operations, employee relations, and the company’s use of its own leading HCM technology.
“Beth’s experience leading global teams through transformative growth, coupled with her track record of successfully aligning human resources practices with business goals, makes her a phenomenal addition to the UKG leadership team,” said Jennifer Morgan, UKG Chief Executive Officer. “In addition, Beth’s passion for people will help UKG reach the next level by ensuring our human resource strategies and systems are agile, resilient, and supportive to the needs of both our employees and our customers around the world.”
With more than 25 years of HR experience, Conway has built an impressive career centered on creating people-centric organizational cultures across the globe. She has successfully led transformational HR technology initiatives, designed and executed effective talent acquisition and retention strategies, and has extensive experience supporting mergers and acquisitions. Additionally, Conway has a wealth of experience providing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) guidance, as well as advising on investor and shareholder relations.
“This is an extraordinary opportunity to lead an exceptional HR organization at a company renowned for providing world-class HCM solutions and transformative workplace insights,” said Conway. “UKG’s growth aspirations are both bold and attainable, and our ability to rapidly scale the business depends heavily on how we develop, support, and empower our people. I feel an incredible responsibility to ensure our global talent strategy facilitates this growth and creates a tremendous employee experience for our people so that they, in turn, can deliver exceptional outcomes for our 80,000 customers.”
Most recently, Conway served as executive vice president and chief people & places officer at AI market leader Nuance Communications (NASDAQ: NUAN), where she guided the company during its hypergrowth phase before it was acquired by Microsoft for nearly $20 billion. While at Nuance, Conway led a global HR organization across 25 countries, managed a culture transformation to meet strategic business goals, steered the organization’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts, and led the company to become an award-winning employer of choice.
Prior to Nuance, Conway had a 19-year career at CA Technologies (NASDAQ: CA), an enterprise management software engineering organization, where she designed and executed a comprehensive talent strategy that aligned the right people with the right opportunities at the right time to enable customers and advance organizational goals. She also established a data-driven decision environment leveraging people analytics and led a major culture transformation with a focus on delivering exceptional employee and customer experiences.
