Aron Ain serves as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman at UKG, one of the world’s most innovative human capital management and workforce management companies following the merger of Kronos Incorporated and Ultimate Software. Aron joined Kronos in 1979 and played a role in nearly every functional department at the company until becoming CEO in 2005. Named to Glassdoor’s Top CEOs list several years in a row, Aron is regarded as a pioneer in workforce management and HCM. He firmly believes that great businesses are powered by great people and anything is possible when people “WorkInspired.”
Chris Todd serves as President of UKG a role he assumed following the monumental merger of Kronos Incorporated and Ultimate Software in 2020. Chris joined Kronos in 2007 where he played an integral role in accelerating the company’s Software as a Service (SaaS) strategy while driving a focus on positive customer outcomes. Prior to becoming President of Kronos in 2018, Chris served as SVP of Operations and Chief Services Officer, overseeing global customer operations as well as information technology, legal, procurement, and facilities. Chris remains committed to ensuring UKG delivers a world-class customer experience every day to every customer across the world.
As Chief People Officer at UKG, Dave Almeda oversees global HR and drives HCM strategy — including talent acquisition and development, compensation and benefits, employee engagement, and components of the Facilities and Physical Security functions — to support continued growth, innovation, and profitability. Dave, who joined Kronos as Chief People Officer in 2010, is a firm believer that innovative ideas come from employees across the globe and that a talented workforce is the cornerstone of business success. He is an active advocate for all employees and remains committed to strengthening the company’s award-winning culture, built on trust and transparency.
John Butler serves as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for UKG, a role he assumed following the Kronos and Ultimate merger in April 2020. John oversees global financial planning, accounting, reporting, analysis, product and services pricing, business analytics, tax and treasury, and financial administrative operations. Prior to becoming CFO at Kronos, John served in a variety of finance roles, most recently as VP of Global Finance. In 2007, he played a key role in negotiating the sale of Kronos to private-equity firm Hellman & Friedman for $1.8 billion, and subsequently in executing various modifications to the company’s capital structure.
As Chief Customer and Strategy Officer, Bob Hughes is responsible for ensuring that every UKG business decision contributes to long-lasting success for customers around the world. Driven by a customer-first philosophy, Bob’s teams are committed to connecting, inspiring, and empowering customers — helping them to leverage UKG’s continuous innovation, global resources, and unmatched industry knowledge to maximize their technology investment.
As Chief Administrative Officer, Mark Julien brings extensive experience to his role overseeing all aspects of UKG’s global financial, information technology, legal, compliance, and procurement operations. In leading the company’s global administrative operations, Julien is focused on coordinating the overall support of UKG operations and ensuring that financial and operational goals and objectives are met.
As Chief Marketing Officer at UKG — a role she held at Ultimate Software before its merger with Kronos — Jody Kaminsky combines her passions for HCM market strategy and the role of marketing in building brand awareness, reputation management, customer relationships, demand generation, marketing automation and technology, digital marketing, search engine optimization, and event marketing. While at Ultimate, Jody served in various Marketing management roles from 1999 through 2010, including VP of Marketing, VP of Marketing Operations, and Director of Strategic Marketing. Prior to joining Ultimate Software, Jody held various positions with General Electric (GE) from April 1997 through August 1999, including Manager of Communications and Community Relations for GE Information Services.
Prior to his role as Chief Operating Officer at UKG, Jim Kizielewicz served as Chief Marketing Officer at Kronos where he was responsible for developing and guiding the global marketing strategy. He plays a critical role in continuing UKG’s path of innovation and its commitment to revolutionizing the way organizations around the globe manage their workforces. Kizielewicz served in a variety of management and executive capacities at Kronos after joining the company in 1981, including leadership positions in services, business development, and product marketing.
John Machado serves as UKG’s Chief Technology Officer, having been a leader and technologist for more than two decades, including serving as Ultimate Software’s Senior Vice President of Development, overseeing the company’s product development and product delivery. John joined Ultimate in 2007 and helped lead the company in its pioneering efforts to deliver innovative HCM solutions. John’s teams of topranked technologists architect, develop, and deploy Ultimate’s UltiPro.
As UKG’s Chief Legal Officer, Liz McCarron is responsible for developing and executing a legal engagement model aligned to the company’s growth, innovation, and profitability initiatives. Prior to her current role at UKG, McCarron served as Vice President and Legal Counsel at Kronos. When Kronos merged with Ultimate Software in April 2020, McCarron became general counsel of the newly combined company with more than 12,000 employees. At UKG she oversees worldwide legal and regulatory affairs in the more than 100 countries in which the company serves its customers.
As Chief Revenue Officer at UKG, John O’Brien is responsible for managing global sales of products and services across all vertical markets. John worked at Kronos Incorporated prior to its merger with Ultimate Software where, during his tenure at Kronos, revenue more than doubled to well over $1 billion — led by its booming cloud business — and employee engagement scores for the global sales organization have remained at an all-time high for over a decade. John’s steadfast commitment to building a customer-first organization inspired a specialized salesforce with unparalleled vertical-specific expertise that delivers exceptional value-add for customers and prospects.
As chief revenue officer of UKG, Greg Swick oversees the company’s new business sales of products and services across all geographic regions and markets. Guiding an experienced and highly engaged team of human capital management (HCM) experts, Swick is specifically focused on expanding the new customer program for UKG by cultivating a comprehensive customer-first sales strategy and driving continued customer satisfaction. Prior to becoming chief revenue officer at UKG, Swick held several management positions at then-Ultimate Software, including serving as chief sales officer for 20 years.
As Chief Product Officer at UKG, Jim Welch plays a critical role in continuing the company’s path of innovation and commitment to revolutionizing the way organizations across the globe manage their workforces. Prior to the merger with Ultimate Software, Jim was Chief Product Officer and Head of Cloud Operations at Kronos, where his strategic efforts culminated in the launch of Workforce Dimensions – the next generation of workforce technology powered by the Kronos D5™ platform with a breakthrough user experience and unprecedented levels of operational insight to help organizations work their way, work smarter, and work in the modern cloud.
Rod Witmond serves as Chief Transformation Officer at UKG. Rod has more than 20 years of experience as a strategic leader and joined Ultimate in 2016, most recently serving as the Vice President of Operations Strategy. Prior to Ultimate, Rod served as a Senior Vice President at several companies, including as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Product Management at Ceridian, and as a Principal Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
